Reading Comprehension: The Unexpected Storm

Last weekend, Sarah and Mark decided to go hiking. The weather forecast had predicted a "pleasant day," but the reality was so different from what they expected.

When they reached the base of the mountain, the wind was so strong that they could hardly stand up. "I didn't realize it would be such a windy day," Mark shouted over the roar of the trees. Sarah nodded in agreement. She was wearing a light jacket, which was such a big mistake given the sudden drop in temperature.

As they climbed higher, they encountered such thick fog that the trail became invisible. Sarah felt so nervous that she suggested turning back. However, Mark is such an optimistic person that he convinced her to keep going for just ten more minutes.

Suddenly, the clouds parted for a brief moment, revealing a view that was so beautiful it took their breath away. It was such a magical experience that they forgot all about the cold. They took a few photos, but the camera battery died so quickly because of the freezing air.

Eventually, they headed back down, exhausted but happy. It had been such an adventure!
